Set of 6 Glass Ball with Rose Inside Christmas Ornament
Here presented is an ornament which was made in Lauscha, Germany a small village with a long tradition of glass-blowing. Thankfully, a handful of passionate and knowledgeable Christmas fanatics, have continued traditional methods of production, making decorations which closely resemble those made in Germany from 1880 to 1940, keeping the craft alive. Their inspiration is often more folklorish winter legends and less obviously Christian symbols. Made using old materials, reclaimed from factories which shut down long ago and using antique moulds, these ornaments have the charm of the originals, lopsided and irregular, and their makers have looked to actively cultivate the 1930s vintage appeal. Attention - This means the ornaments are hand painted to emulate the distressed look, they are imperfect and not standardised. Painting details, colour vary and the image here is more of a guide rather than a precise representation.
